Sergey Liberman received his MS in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, Leningrad, USSR in 1982 (now known as Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg, Russia). From 1982 to 1988, Mr. Liberman worked as an engineer at the State Microelectronics Center, Leningrad, USSR. He immigrated to the US in 1989 and became a US citizen in 1994.
From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Liberman worked as a research scientist at various US companies (including six years at Raytheon Research Division, Lexington, MA), chief areas of interest being semiconductor devices, infrared and electro-optics. In 1998, Mr. Liberman founded Solidus Integration, a consulting business specializing in automated data acquisition, machine vision, image processing, and motion control systems. Currently Mr. Liberman is the owner and Principal Consultant at Solidus Integration. He has developed more than 500 custom systems for close to 100 clients. He has worked extensively with aerospace, defense, high-tech and biotech companies and he holds DoD clearance. Mr. Liberman is a member of IEEE Consultants’ Network and of National Instruments Alliance Program; he is a Certified LabVIEW Developer. He is a recipient of IEEE W.R.G. Baker Prize Award and two National Instruments “Best Application” Awards. He has published seven papers in technical journals and he holds nine US patents.
